Ada and Isla are mature Kunekune pigs who ‘enjoy enriching their brains’ and bonding with the staff at the Ark. The pair were initially scared but the team has spent a lot of time making them feel comfortable and building their trust up. When first coming into the Ark both girls would lunge for food and snap at the staff out of frustration but they have settled down and due to training sessions, they are both much calmer.
Casey, the Small Animal, stock and wildlife lead, said: "Ada and Isla are so clever and have great personalities. When they first came to us here at the Ark they were scared of trusting new people, however over time, the training we have done with them has helped us to create a bond and earn their trust.

The sisters will need to be adopted together, they will need a large secure field with stock and post and rail fencing, a large pig shelter and a wallow. You will also need a CPH number for your land.
They cannot live with children as they can be unpredictable but they may be able to live with other pigs. They are both vaccinated and have no other health concerns.
