Video: Offbeat - Wave-sailing champion rides gigantic waves
Jason Polakow, 44, made the record books on Tuesday (02/02) after riding the gigantic wave in the liquid mountains of Praia do Norte, in Nazaré, Portugal.
The two-time wave-sailing champion had spent an entire year studying and observing the sea at the ‘big wave mecca.’ Aussie Polakow established himself as Australia’s top windsurfer at just 18 years old and spent years competing. But after breaking away from full time competitions he has been searching and windsurfing the world’s biggest waves for the past 10 years.
