Austrian company Gloryfy and invent Christoph Egger are behind the indestructible eyewear. Describing his inspiration,

Christoph said it was sparked by "an injury to a friend’s eye whilst skiing and an argument witnessed between a couple after a classic 'sitting on the sunglasses' incident."
