Hampshire weather: Temperatures to plunge to zero and below in Portsmouth, Gosport, Fareham, Havant, Waterlooville and Hayling Island

According to the latest forecast the mercury will fall below zero in the city.

The Met Office is predicting sub-zero temperatures across the region today.

Currently the forecast for Portsmouth is for weather to start out sunny by will change to cloudy by lunchtime.

There will be highs of 8C in the city today and lows of -1C, according to the Met Office.

Temperatures will get as cold as 0C in Gosport and Hayling Island, -2C in Havant, Fareham and Waterlooville.

Bishop’s Waltham will see lows of -3C on Monday.

In the coming days Portsmouth will see a mixture of cloudy spells and light rain.

The warmest day will be Friday with highs of 10C and lows of 4C.

Temperatures will remain above zero from Tuesday onwards.
