Temperatures are set to soar from today – with Saturday set to be the hottest day.
The Met Office has now issued a level three amber warning, meaning that there is a 90 per cent chance of heatwave conditions, for Hampshire between Thursday and Sunday.

Hide AdOn its website, the forecasting service said: ‘Increasingly hot conditions likely across southeastern parts of England from Friday as warm air spreads north from France.
‘However, cooler and cloudier conditions with a few showers then expected to spread from the northeast later on Saturday.
‘Look out for others, especially older people, young children and babies and those with underlying health conditions.
‘Close curtains on rooms that face the sun to keep indoor spaces cooler and remember it may be cooler outdoors than indoors.

Hide Ad‘Drink plenty of fluids and avoid excess alcohol, dress appropriately for the weather and slow down when it is hot.’

Portsmouth
According to the Met Office forecast, the city will experience highs of 32C on Saturday, with highs of 29C on Friday and Sunday and 28C on Monday.
Forecasters are predicting highs of 31C in Gosport on Saturday, with 27C on Friday as well as on Sunday and Monday.
The Met Office is forecasting highs of 32C in Fareham on Saturday, with highs of 29C on Friday as well as on Sunday and Monday.
