Hour-by-hour forecast as heavy rain warning issued for Portsmouth

The Met Office has put the yellow alert in place from 10am until 6pm.

It is in force for across the south coast including throughout the Portsmouth area.

The Met Office is warning that there will be ‘heavy rain leading to some flooding and travel disruption’.

Residents are advised to expect:

- Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer

- Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
