Live travel updates as Met Office fog alert in force for Portsmouth area

A weather warning for fog is in place for across the Portsmouth area this morning.

The Met Office has issued a yellow alert, which remains in place until 11am today for the city as well as the surrounding towns including Gosport, Fareham, Havant and Waterlooville.

In the warning, the forecasters have said: ‘Fog is expected to persist and with increased traffic volumes on Monday morning some disruption to transport is possible.

‘Slower journey times with delays to bus and train services possible.

‘There is a chance of delays or cancellations to flights.

According to the Met Office forecast for Portsmouth temperatures will be around 1C this morning – with highs of just 5C expected during the day.
