Portsmouth set for warmer spell after freezing start to week

PORTSMOUTH is set to enjoy a spell of warmer weather this weekend but only after a couple of days of freezing cold temperatures.

The Met Office is predicting that the mercury will not rise above two degrees Celsius on Monday or Tuesday.

While lows of -1 and 0 are expected over the next two days.

According to Gosport Weather Station temperatures dipped to -0.2C on Sunday night.

Temperatures will start to pick up on Wednesday, with highs of 5C and a low of 3C with sunny weather predicted.

It is expect to be cloudy on Thursday but temperatures will rise to highs of 9C with a low of 5C.

Friday will see highs of 13C in Portsmouth according to the Met Office’s latest forecast, with lows of 10C. It will be partly cloudy through the day.

While Saturday is predicted to be the warmest day of the week with highs of 15C but there will be heavy showers through the day which will gradually turn to sunny spells. The Met Office is forecasting that there will be lows of 4C.

It will be partly cloudy changing to sunny intervals by late morning on Sunday. It will be slightly cooler with highs of 9C predicted and lows of 4C.
