Portsmouth weather: Heavy rain to bring end to lockdown sunshine in city

PORTSMOUTH has enjoyed a spell of glorious sunshine in recent weeks.

The lockdown means that we haven’t been able to make the most of the warm weather, especially over the Easter bank holiday.

However the sunshine is set to come to an end according to the latest forecast.

The Met Office is predicting rain for much of the week in Portsmouth.

Here’s the latest day-by-day forecast:

Monday

There will be sunny intervals changing to cloudy in early evening in Portsmouth on Monday.

The Met Office is forecasting highs of 16C and lows of 11C.

Pollen will be high, according to the forecasters.

Tuesday

The sunshine will come to an end on Tuesday with heavy rain predicted for much of the day.

The Met Office is forecasting rain from 4am to 10pm.

It will be heaviest between 7am and 4pm.

There will be a high of 12C and a low of 9C.

Pollen will be medium.

Wednesday

The day will start sunny but will change to cloudy and rain intervals from late morning.

Rain showers are expected from 1pm until 10pm.

There will be a high of 13C and a low of 9C, according to the Met Office forecast.

Pollen will be medium.

Thursday

It will start sunny on Thursday before changing to rain showers from late morning.

There will be showers from 10am until 10pm, according to the forecast.

The Met Office is predicting a high of 13C and a low of 8C.

Pollen will be medium.

Friday

Once again it will start sunny on Friday before changing to rain showers in the afternoon.

Rain is expected from 1pm until 10pm, according to the Met Office.

There will be a high of 13C and a low of 9C.

Pollen will be medium.
