Snow is being forecast to fall in Portsmouth next week, according to BBC weather.

The wintry conditions are being predicted for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

According to the forecast there will be sleet showers on February 8 starting at 1pm and lasting until 6pm, before resuming again at 10pm and lasting until midnight.

Light snow is then being predicted to fall in the city on February 9, according to current the BBC weather forecast as of today.

The snow will start at 7am lasting until 10am, with a chance of sleet at 11am.

More snowfall is then predicted from 7pm through the rest of the night.

The wintry weather will continue overnight into Wednesday and last until 6am, followed by clouds and light rain in the afternoon.

In Gosport snow is also forecast on Tuesday, following sleet on Monday.

Snowfall is also being predicted on February 8 and February 9 in Fareham, Havant and Waterlooville.
