Thunderstorms set to hit Portsmouth and Waterlooville - here's when they are forecast to arrive

The Met Office is predicting that they will the city and Waterlooville in the afternoon and evening.

A mixture of heavy rain and showers are expected for throughout much of the day, as the weather begins to become more autumnal following the official end of summer on Tuesday.

Here is what is being forecast where you live and when to expect thunderstorms:

The forecast for Thursday is: ‘Heavy rain changing to thunder in the afternoon’.

According to Met Office predictions there is a 70 per cent chance of thunderstorms between 4pm and 5pm today.

There will be a high of 15C and a low of 8C.

The Met Office forecast reads: ‘Heavy showers changing to cloudy by nighttime.’

They are not predicting thunder for Gosport today.

There will be a high of 15C and a low of 8C.

The forecast for Thursday is: ‘Cloudy changing to heavy showers by late morning.’

The Met Office are not currently forecasting thunder for Fareham.

There will be a high of 14C and a low of 7C.

Havant

The Met Office forecast reads: ‘Light showers changing to cloudy by evening.’

They are not predicting thunder for Havant today.

There will be a high of 15C and a low of 8C.

Waterlooville

The forecast for Thursday is: ‘Light rain changing to thunder showers by early evening.

According to Met Office predictions there is a 60 per cent chance of thunderstorms between 8pm and 9pm today in Waterlooville.

There will be a high of 14C and a low of 7C.

Hayling Island

The Met Office forecast reads: ‘Light showers changing to cloudy by nighttime.’

They are not predicting thunder for Hayling Island today.

There will be a high of 15C and a low of 8C.
