Weather warnings issued as Hampshire prepares for snow showers and sleet
Yellow weather warnings are in place for snow and ice as temperatures drop.
The Met Office has issued weather warnings across the country, with a yellow warning in place for the Portsmouth area.
Between midnight and 12pm tomorrow (January 2) “sleet and snow is expected to move southeastwards” lasting two or three hours.

The Met Office said: “Where snow falls, 1 or 2 cm is likely for some and perhaps as much as 5 cm snow possible in a few spots,
“Some ice may form as a result of precipitation falling on to frozen surfaces and icy patches will also develop quickly as sleet and snow clears.”
