Emergency services including police, fire and paramedics were called to a property on Victoria Road North at around 6.32pm following the blaze.

A 53-year-old woman has been arrested on with intent to endanger life. She remains in police custody at this time.

The exact cause of the fire will be the subject of a police and fire service investigation.

The other residents of the house were evacuated and have been re-housed.
