Young people funding boost
YOUNG people who have experienced difficult childhood experiences will get more support after Hampshire's police and crime commissioner won national funding of more than Â£400,000.Â
A partnership bid to the Home Office Early Intervention Youth Fund, led byÂ crime commissionerÂ Michael LaneÂ secured Â£416,829.
It is hoped theÂ funding will help youngsters who may at risk ofÂ offending in the future.
The successful project will see up to 150Â specially trainedÂ professional recruited toÂ work alongside Portsmouth City Council and otherÂ organisations.
Mr LaneÂ said:Â '˜ItÂ will offer aÂ targetedÂ approach to helpÂ dealÂ with trauma.'
