It's one of the biggest weekends of the live music calendar, and now the headliners for Reading and Leeds Festivals have been announced.

Stormzy, Liam Gallagher and Rage Against the Machine will top the bill on each of the festivals' three days, while the line-up below them also features the biggest and best names in alternative music.

Stormzy - who logged a career defining headline performance at last year's Glastonbury - will headline Reading on the Friday and Leeds on the Saturday.

Liam Gallagher - who self-confirmed his booking late last year to the chagrin of festival organisers - comes to Reading on the Saturday before heading up to Yorkshire to close out the Leeds leg on Sunday.

Rage Against the Machine will be making sure Reading is anything but 'Calm Like a Bomb' on the Sunday, where they'll benefit from a day of rest, having opened Leeds leg on the Friday.

Two Door Cinema Club, All Time Low, Gerry Cinnamon, Courteeners, Run the Jewels, and Slowthai will all be putting in main stage shifts, while Sam Fender, Rex Orange County and AJ Tracey top the line-up on the BBC Radio 1 Stage.

Here's everything you need to know about it:

Fans with more dance-oriented tastes are also in luck, with MK, Solardo and Wilkinson headlining the BBC Radio 1 Dance Stage.

Those with a penchant for slightly heavier music will want to check out The Pit/The Lock Up, where bands like Sleeping With Sirens, Gallows, The Bronx, Cancer Bats, Creeper, and Ho99o9 will be performing.

The Festival Republic stage will be showcasing some of the best new and upcoming indie talents, like Spector, Sports Team and Jaws, while the BBC Radio 1Xtra Stage will be topped by Denzel Curry, Danny Brown and M Huncho.
