Set in rural post-war American coal towns - Knockemstiff, Ohio, and Coal Creek, West Virginia - the film centres around Arvin Young (Tom Holland) as he fights the evil forces that threaten him and his family.

Pattinson plays the unholy preacher Reverend Preston Teagardin, based in towns that are teeming with corruption and brutality.

The Devil All the Time follows a cast of compelling and bizarre characters from the end of World War II to the early 1960s.

The gothic landscapes host spider-loving hillbilly preachers, serial killers, and god-seeking families in search of salvation.

The film was adapted from Donald Ray Pollock’s 2011 award-winning novel of the same name and is produced by Jake Gyllenhaal.

Antonia Campos, who found fame with his films Afterschool, Simon Killer, and Christine starring Rebecca Hall, directs the movie and co-wrote the screenplay with Paulo Campos.

Who stars in the movie?

Director Antonio Campos has assembled an A-list cast for this latest movie, which includes Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spiderman, Tom Holland.

Holland (Spiderman: Homecoming, The Impossible) plays Arvin Russell, the orphaned son, who grows up to be a kind-hearted, but violent and aggressive man.

Speaking to IndieWire about his casting choices for the film, Antonio Campos said: “In the hands of a lesser actor, Arvin would have been an impenetrable, potentially alienating character who did a log of awful things.

“Beyond adapting his voice and his physicality, Tom was able to take on and carry the trauma Arvin had lived but was still able to communicate the warmth and humanity that made Arvin an accessible character we could actually connect with and root for.”

Robert Pattinson (Tenet, The Lighthouse) plays Reverend Preston Teagardin, the spider-handling preacher. After taking on numerous shape-shifting roles in the last two years, be ready to watch Pattinson release his creep factor in this role.

Bill Skarsgård (IT, Deadpool 2) plays Willard Wilson. The actor who terrified us as Pennywise in IT portrays the father of Arvin who suffered through a scarring experience in World War II’s South Pacific.

Harry Melling (Harry Potter) plays alongside his fellow Hogwarts alum Robert Pattinson as Reverend Lovejoy. This isn’t the first time the two actors have crossed paths since Harry Potter. The pair met on the set of 2016’s The Lost City of Z.

Speaking to Metro, Melling said: “I’m a huge fan of Rob, he’s an amazing actor and I think this year has been such an amazing year for him. It’s always going to be a joy if you’re lucky enough to be in a film with him.”

Haley Bennett (The Magnificent Seven, The Girl on the Train) plays Arvin’s mother Charlotte Wilson.

Eliza Scanlen (Little Women, Babyteeth) is the innocent soul Lenora Lafterty, while Riley Keough (Mad Max, American Honey) plays the slimy, alluring Sandy Henderson.
