I thought TOG24 only sold outdoor wear until I discovered these popular fashion brands on the website

When I think of TOG24, I usually think of practical outdoor clothing, cosy fleeces and the kind of jackets you reach for when the British weather is doing its worst.But I’ve recently realised there’s a lot more to TOG24 than its own clothing range.

For anyone who hasn’t come across the brand before, TOG24 is a British outdoor and lifestyle brand that has been around since 1958. It started out in Yorkshire and has built its name around practical clothing and footwear designed for life outdoors, from waterproof jackets and walking gear to everyday casual pieces.

I’ve always associated TOG24 with its own range, I didn’t realise just how many other brands it stocks too. The retailer also has a surprisingly good selection of well-known fashion, footwear and outdoor brands, making it worth a look even if you’re not shopping specifically for TOG24 pieces.

Among the brands available are some big names I already know and love, including Hush Puppies, Superga, Herschel, Hunter and Muck Boots. There are also brands that are particularly useful if you’re looking for something practical for autumn and winter, including Grubs, Surfanic, Cotswold, Grisport and Snokart.

For me, the biggest surprise is seeing brands such as Superga and Hush Puppies alongside the more traditional outdoor names. It makes TOG24 feel much more like a one-stop shop rather than somewhere I’d only visit when I need a new coat or fleece.

Superga is a particularly good one if you’re looking for everyday footwear, while Hush Puppies has plenty of more classic styles. Hunter is another recognisable name for anyone who loves a good pair of boots when the weather turns wet.

Then there are the more outdoors-focused brands. Muck Boots and Grubs are designed with practicality in mind, while Cotswold and Grisport offer footwear aimed at walking and outdoor adventures. Surfanic and Snokart also bring more technical outdoor clothing and gear into the mix.

And that’s probably what I like most about the selection. You can go to TOG24 looking for something practical and end up finding a pair of trainers, boots or accessories from a completely different brand that you might not have expected to see there.

With autumn now approaching, I’ll definitely be keeping TOG24 on my list when I’m looking for new-season pieces. I’ve already spotted some of its own clothing that I like, but knowing it stocks brands such as Superga, Hunter and Herschel means I’ll be checking the wider range too.
