Originally opening in 1974 in College Road, Waterlooville, South Downs College has always been a popular choice for the people of Portsmouth and wider areas to continue their education.
It was primarily an A-level driven campus, but the college now also offers vocational courses, T Levels, apprenticeships, and adult/part-time education.
From catering, engineering and music courses, the college is also known for its Air Cabin Crew training course and adapted one of their classrooms into a makeshift aeroplane cabin kitted out with oxygen masks with food and beverage carts.
The college is now called Havant and South Downs College after it merged with Havant Sixth Form College in August 2017 and later merged with Alton College in 2019, now offering students the choice of three campuses.
