But Paul Cook is keeping his cards close to his chest over who has been sidelined following the defeat to Plymouth.

Saturday’s 2-1 loss saw the Blues field the same line-up for a fourth match in succession.

However, they slipped to a desperately disappointing defeat as the Pilgrims netted twice in the final six minutes to win the Fratton Park fixture.

By that stage Gary Roberts had already left the field following an elbow to the head from Peter Hartley.

The challenge incensed both the midfielder and his team-mates, yet Hartley received only a yellow card.

Roberts is among a number of players Cook will check on ahead of tomorrow night’s visit to Bootham Crescent.

But the Pompey boss insists the 32-year-old does not have concussion.

Regardless, there will be alterations to a team who had won three straight matches before Plymouth.

And with Cook still refusing to sacrifice ambitions of automatic promotion, he is continuing to seek positive results from the starting line-up he names.

He said: ‘I am not going to get involved in talking about injuries, we have a few that are not going to make it with different stuff.

‘We will keep their identities to ourselves.

‘It is generally wear and tear, especially the senior players. Gary Roberts got a bang to the head, but it is not concussion.

‘We will just assess that ahead of the game rather than tell everyone.

‘The lads have done well, I have no problem with the team selection, but there are some knocks at present.’

York have failed to win in their past 12 matches.
