Following a Heritage & Advisory board meeting on Monday, a fresh Blues badge has been now decided.

That is expected to be released within weeks, resolving an issue initially brought up by Tornante during their pursuit of the club.

The finalised design has been described as 'subtle' by board member Eric Eisner, who attended Monday's gathering along with Andy Redman.

And in an interview with Pompey's official website, he revealed he expects the badge to satisfy supporters.

Eisner said: ‘In the Guildhall we wanted to preach consistency and transparency, communicating with the fans.

‘We are not promising the world and we are not taking away their beloved club, if you take a step back it has been an amazing first year and we are still in the middle of it.

‘We have taken tonnes of the fan input and created what we believe to be a final crest that people are actually going to like. We really didn’t deviate from the main crest and did enough that we could copyright it so we achieved our goal.

‘The fans are going to be pleasantly surprised.

‘These are subtle change to give us copyright with the fans' input. We have come to the conclusion which I think the fans are really going to like, I feel very good about it.’

Meanwhile, Eisner explained the future of Fratton Park is still being explored.

He added: ‘Fratton Park is not easy to figure out, land is not easily available here so we are studying all our options.

‘Our goal is still to remain at Fratton Park, but it will take planning and planning in phases to do it right,

‘Like with everything, it's long-term goals, and we are right on plan.’
