The Reds lost 1-0 at Victoria Park on Saturday in a game manager Steve Stone felt his team dominated.

‘We created lots of chances but failed to take them,’ said the boss.

‘Now we have another chance to put things right.

‘Hopefully we will have a few players back to boost our numbers.

‘Despite all our problems we are hanging in there and remaining positive.’

Luke Heard and Sean Howe may return after work commitments and injury kept them out of Saturday’s game.

Stone is also hoping to give a debut to Army full-back Matt Evans.

Horndean manager Craig Pearce is looking for a reaction from his players as they host Sholing Sports at Five Heads Park.

His team were well beaten 3-0 in their derby at AFC Portchester on Saturday.

‘It doesn’t get any easier and we have picked up a couple of injuries,’ said Pearce.

‘We need to regroup and pick up a win as soon as possible.

‘What we don’t want to do is lose too much ground on the teams above us.’

Jack Maloney is expected to be out for a few weeks because of hamstring problems and Ian Humble is a doubt with a groin strain.

Dave Carter insists Moneyfields cannot afford any complacency in their visit to Folland Sports.

‘They might be bottom of the league but they have improved recently,’ said the Dover Road boss.

‘We need to go there with the right attitude and won’t be able to take anything for granted.

‘I still want a top-10 finish and we must not let that drift away from us.’

Gavin Spurway, Dan Gauntlett and Blu Boam are all missing but Carter expects to have central midfielder Robbie Pitman back from holiday.

AFC Portchester will start as odds-on favourites as they host Hampshire Premier League senior division Otterbourne in the semi-finals of the Russell-Cotes Cup at Wicor Rec.

Troubled Gosport Borough are hoping to avoid picking up any injuries as they entertain Blackfield & Langley in the same competition.

Borough only have 12 senior players left in their squad and are under a National League registration embargo.
