Since December 2013, Zanda Films have been putting together a documentary chronicling the Blues' demise since the 2008 FA Cup Final.

Presently targeted for launch early next year, research has consisted of interviews with 50 people who saw at close hand the devastating events which almost led to the club's liquidation.

Now the filmmakers are appealing for supporter help in obtaining video footage and photographs to enhance the long-awaited project.

Fans have been asked to hand over any of their own visual record of the period spanning 2008-2013 period, which can then be used in the documentary.

And Colin Farmery, who has been coordinating the film from Pompey's side, is hoping supporters can play a crucial part in the finished product.

He said: '˜There's not a shortage, we have plenty of footage and pictures to tell the narrative around the club during that period.

'˜However, we would like to see if we can get something that gives a sense of what happened at the time.

'˜For much of the 2008-2013 period, the documentary wasn't being made, so we are seeking clips and pictures from that time which can add to the appeal and drama of the film.

'˜We are realistic in the sense that around that time videoing was not as accessible as now, but hopefully people did capture various events such as protests at the training ground and still have a record of it.

'˜Already we have interviews with the key protagonists and plenty of footage from behind the scenes, such as fans travelling to away games, which illustrate aspects.

'˜We also seek people to contribute their memories to this film. So if there are any pictures or videos that can underpin that then it would really add to the documentary we are putting together.'

The film is the brainchild of Barney Fox and Remy Martin.

And Farmery is confident supporters will soon be able to see the final outcome.

He added: '˜We have the funding in place and are on schedule for an early 2019 completion.

'˜We are pushing on early next month, so could anyone with photographs or videos please get in touch during the next couple of weeks.

'˜Then we can start logging what potentially people may have.'
