Borough finally picked up their first win of the year by beating 10-man Weston-super-Mare 1-0 at Privett Park in midweek.

They face a big challenge in maintaining their momentum against their in-form hosts.

In the last week, Hayes & Yeading have climbed to fifth, winning 5-1 at Weston and 2-1 at Merthyr Town.

Borough boss Molyneaux was relieved to see his side finally get back to winning ways on Tuesday thanks to a 75th-minute goal from defender Dan Strugnell.

Although he was in Italy with work, he had the game streamed live to him by the club’s media team.

‘It was a huge win for us, particularly confidence-wise,’ said assistant manager Ben Kneller.

‘We have been in a bit of a rut lately, but hopefully this will help kick-start our bid for the play-offs.

‘Going to Hayes will be tough and we are looking for the players to show a willingness to graft.

‘We all need to be fighting for the cause.

‘It wasn't particularly pretty (against Weston), but we got the end result we wanted.

‘We had to dig in and must go to Hayes with the same mentality.

‘All of us are aware that we must go on a winning run to get ourselves back where we feel we should be.

‘The play-off spots are still within reach.

‘Realistically, we need to get something from this game.’

Goalkeeper Pat O'Flaherty is struggling with an injury while defender Ryan Woodford - who missed the Weston win through illness - is expected to return.

But Rory Williams is ruled out through suspension.

And another who won't be featuring is Yeovil Town midfielder Alex John, who has joined Hull City after a loan spell with Borough.
