The powerful central defender totalled 239 appearances and 17 goals during his Fratton Park stay, with plenty of highs and lows.
And here he talks us through his five favourite Blues matches – and explains why...
5. Pompey 3 Fulham Under-21 3 (August 22, 2023)
'As Pompey captain, I scored twice in that Bristol Street Motors Trophy match, the second a right-footed 30-yarder. Well, I have never scored a goal like that in my life!'The best thing about it is ever since, every single time I get past the halfway line, I hear the Pompey crowd shout “Shoot”. Every single time.'I don’t even know why I shot against Fulham, to be honest. I think it was because I was a bit annoyed with how the game was going. I could see Ryley was about to get the ball and thought “If he passes it to me, I’m just going to shoot” because I was that annoyed.'1/2 Photo: Jason Brown
6. Pompey 3 Fulham Under-21 3 (August 22, 2023)
Cont...'Then I couldn’t believe it when it went in, I didn’t know what to do. That’s a nice one to look back on.'That’s probably the first time I’ve ever had a shot from there for Pompey - and since then I have had a couple more!'2/2 Photo: Jason Brown
7. Pompey 4 Sunderland 0 (October 2, 2021)
'Do you know what, this is one I really enjoyed for a weird reason.'I know we beat them 4-0 - through goals from John Marquis (two), Marcus Harness and Lee Brown - but the weather was awful and probably up there with the most fun I’ve ever had on a football pitch.'1/2 Photo: Jason Brown
8. Pompey 4 Sunderland 0 (October 2, 2021)
Cont...'I loved it, I don't know why, I just loved it. I thought it was class. It was absolute carnage, the ball wasn’t rolling, but great fun to be part of. I loved it.'2/2 Photo: Jason Brown
