Harry’s awesome foursome as Padnell Rovers romp to Portsmouth Sunday League victory

Harry Hatherley reached double figures for the season as Padnell Rovers remained hot on the heels of Division 6 leaders FC Fenix.

The floodgates certainly opened after that and they ended up winning 9-0!

Hawks won the Horndean derby, winning 5-1 against United Reserves helped by a Max Buckland brace.

AC’s 100 per cent start to the Portsmouth Sunday League Division 5 campaign was ended by Horndean United.

In an entertaining affair, AC took the lead on 20 minutes when Sam Long broke through the Deans defence to fire home.

Horndean responded well and, after Peter Snaith came close with a free-kick that hit the post, and levelled 10 minutes before half-time when a Snaith volley took a slight deflection on its way into the top corner.

In the second half Snaith saw a shot hit the bar but Horndean eventually got the winner with 10 minutes remaining when Michael Granger’s powerful shot went in off the crossbar.

AFC Trades are now three points clear at the top after extending their 100 per cent start to five games with a 5-4 win over Sheperd’s Crook Panthers on the new 3G pitch at Westleigh Park.

Harry Gregory struck a hat-trick for Trades.

Cosham Trades are second after Jamie Gall and Taylor Hanson scored in a 2-1 win against Cross Keys Athletic Reserves.

Southsea United are 100 per cent after two games, following a 5-3 victory over AFC Copnor.

Casey Pack and Sam Emeney both scored twice with top scorer Zac Willett also netting.

Willett had scored at least three goals in each of Southsea’s first four league and cup games of the season.
