Jackett names big guns for Portsmouth FA Cup encounter

Kenny Jackett has selected his strongest side possible for this afternoon's trip to Maidenhead.

The Blues boss had insisted he would field a powerful line-up for the FA Cup first-round encounter with the non-leaguers.

Sure enough, there's just one change to the side which won at Bradford last weekend to maintain their place at the top of League One.

With Nathan Thompson back from a one-game suspension, he returns to replace Anton Walkes, who doesn't make the squad.

With loanees Ben Thompson and David Wheeler allowed to play, they also keep their places in the 18-man squad.

However, there is no place for fit-again Andre Green, while fellow loanee Joe Mason is injured.

Meanwhile, former Pompey striker Ryan Bird is named on Maidenhead's bench.

Pompey: MacGillivray, Nathan Thompson, Whatmough, Clarke, Brown, Naylor, Ben Thompson, Lowe, Evans, Curtis, Hawkins.
