Kemp at the double as Jameson Arms triumph on Portsmouth Sunday League top flight debut

Newly-promoted Jameson Arms opened their Portsmouth Sunday League campaign in style.

Last season’s Division 2 champions defeated AFC Portchester 4-1 in their opening top flight match with goals from Frankie Kemp (2), Harvey Cooper and Jake Knight.

Milton Rovers defeated Port South with goals from Stu Dollery, Tyler Moret, Dec Seiden and George Thomas with Reece Lewis and Charlie Ruffell replying.

In Division 5, a hat-trick from Harry Hatherley and one from Jake Smales helped Padnell Rovers beat Horndean Hawks 4-3. Max Buckland, Fraser Flynn and Will Reeve replied.

Ricky Hemming (2) and Keaton Hobbs struck as AFC Fairfields beat AFC Trade Reserves 3-0.

FC Fenix won 3-1 against Freehouse B thanks to Ash Sills, Adrian Rock and Ali Cox with Tyrone Turner replying.

A late own goal gave AFC Eastney a 1-0 victory over AFC Prospect Farm Rangers.

Rangers defender John Wake’s attempted headed clearance flew into his own net in the 85th minute to settle the encounter.

Eastney's David Louth won his side’s man of the match award.

ACFC came from 1-3 down against newcomers Al's Bar to win 4-3 - the latter having missed a penalty while leading 3-2.

Ray Butler and Dave Sutherland both scored twice for AC with Aaron Moule and David Newcombe replying.

Billy Miles and Scott Smith replied as Fratton Trades Reserves were thrashed 10-2 by AFC Trades.
