Manager Dave Carter and assistant Gavin Spurway depart Moneyfields

Dave Carter has left his role as Moneyfields manager with immediate effect.

And his assistant Gavin Spurway is following him out of the Dover Road club.

Carter brings to an end his six-year reign as boss - although he did briefly resign in October 2019 before staging a U-turn and returning to the role in the same month.

He will go down as the manager that led the club to the Southern League for the first time in their history after winning promotion from the Wessex League Premier Division in 2017.

Carter also guided the club into the Southern League South Division play-offs in just their second season playing at that level.

Moneyfields have stated they will be releasing a club statement in the coming days.

The former Horndean boss departs Moneys with them sitting 17th in the table having played just four games this term with a decision yet to be made on the outcome of the current campaign.
