The 19-year-old Oxford United midfielder has been signed on a work experience loan, which will see him stay at Westleigh Park until the end of January. It is Chambers-Parillon’s second loan spell of the 2020/21 season, having previously had a stint with Biggleswade Town in the Southern League. He also had a loan spell with Southern Leaguers AFC Rushden & Diamonds last season. The player has made two first team appearances for the U’s this term, and has made an impact both times. He was given his competitive debut as an 81st minute sub in an EFL Trophy tie at Walsall on November 10.Within six minutes, the box-to-box midfielder had set up Derick Osei Yaw for the only goal of the game.Chambers-Parillion had a similar impact when he came on as a 63rd minute sub in the same competition against Forest Green on Tuesday.Within a minute he had set up Mide Shodipo’s equaliser and later went on to see a thundering 25-yard drive cannon back off the crossbar.National League South clubs are allowed a maximum of 12 loans each season, but because Chambers-Parillon has joined on work experience terms he won’t count towards Hawks’ loan numbers.
