Paulsgrove's chance to have a big say in the Hampshire Premier League Senior Division title race

Second-placed Grove take on title favourites Bush Hill and Infinity in successive weeks.

A tricky run of fixtures starts with Grant’s troops making the trip to take on fourth-placed Bush on Saturday.

Grove then host unbeaten leaders Infinity the following week.

It’s a run of matches that give Grant’s side the chance to have a say in the title race, while pushing themselves towards their ambition of achieving a top six finish.

There is also the added extra of a Portsmouth v Southampton rivalry against defending champions Bush.

‘Bush Hill away is always a tough place to go,’ said Grant.

‘I’d have thought so (between Infinity and Bush Hill for the title).

‘We could do either of them a favour in the next couple of weeks as we face Infinity next week.

‘Obviously, there is a Portsmouth Southampton rivalry there as well, I’m sure they’ll be a fair few people watching.

‘We’ve just got to be at our best.

‘If we’re at our best and they’re the same it should be a cracker.

‘It is (pressure off), especially going away to Bush Hill.

‘Next week our objective will be to stop Infinity winning the league unbeaten.

‘Danny Thompson is a good friend of mine, but I’d like to get one over on him.

‘I’d still like to see them (Infinity) go on and win the league.’

Paulsgrove will be without the unavailable trio of goalkeeper Taylor Revy, Gary Jeffery and Alex Milroy for the trip to Bush Hill.
