On 30 minutes a curved ball in from Theo Widdrington just missed the head of Harvey Bradbury.

Minutes later, the Blues had Hall to thank as a double save kept the scoreline at 0-0.

Pompey started the second half with an effort from Matt Mayes.

He received the ball from Widdrington on the right but, after making a yard, put his shot just over the crossbar.

The first change for the Blues came on 61 minutes when Bradley Lethbridge replaced Bradbury.

Pompey went ahead on 64 minutes.

Widdrington intercepted the ball which fell to Bedford.

After going one-on-one, he put his shot into the top-left corner.

With 10 minutes left, the Blues made another change with Dan Smith replacing Mayes.

With the game coming to a close, Lethbridge’s effort was tipped wide and Pompey missed the chance to extend their lead.

It was a chance they would come to rue.

In the 94th minute Bournemouth broke up the field and Glover finished low from six yards out.
