Despite Eoin Doyle being out injured, Smith will be unable to return to Fratton Park in the Irishman’s absence.

Christian Oxlade-Chamberlain: Eastbourne Borough

The 18-year-old produced a late flurry to almost snatch the three points for Eastbourne against Margate Town in National League South.

The midfielder came off the bench with three minutes to go and was full off life.

He mounted two late runs as he looked for the winner but was denied by last-ditch challenges on both occasions.

Calvin Davies: Bognor

Davies helped the Rocks thrash Canvey Island 5-1 and move four points clear of the Hawks at the top of Ryman League premier division.

The right-back came off the bench in the 55th minute and his rifling 25-yard effort was pushed over the bar by the goalkeeper with 10 minutes to go.

Alex Bass: Salisbury

The Pompey Academy graduate suffered a blow to the face in Pompey training on Friday which ruled the goalkeeper out of Salisbury’s Southern League 4-0 loss against Hereford.

Adam May: Sutton United

May was an unused substitute in Sutton’s 5-1 win against North Ferriby United in the National League.

Sutton take on Lincoln City this evening.

Ben Close: Eastleigh

Injury ruled the midfielder out of Eastleigh’s 1-1 draw with Gateshead – also in the National League.

Milan Lalkovic: Ross County

County had no Scottish Premiership fixture due to the international break.
