The towering striker capped an excellent display against Luton with a goal to deservedly put him in the frame to remain in the team.

Chaplin, having served a one-match ban following five bookings, must settle for a place on Paul Cook’s bench.

With Curtis Main (abdominal strain) still not ready to return for the first team, Chaplin’s return is likely to be the only change to the squad which won at Kenilworth Road in the week.

Drew Talbot is the most likely to make way on the bench.
