And The News is keeping you up to date with all the business being conducted by the Blues’ rivals this summer.

Carlisle have been busy this week after they completed a double deal to continue a period of heavy recruitment under Keith Curle.

He has landed Reggie Lambe from Mansfield on a one-year deal with an option for a further year.

And Jamie Devitt has agreed terms for two years, moving from Morecambe.

That’s on top of Nicky Adams, Joe McKee and Russell Penn moving to Brunton Park.

Replacing Lambe at Field Mill is Ashley Hemmings – the scorer of a fine acrobatic strike against Pompey for Dagenham & Redbridge in April.

Lambe is one of two bits of business carried out by the Stags in recent days.

Winger CJ Hamilton also moves to the club after failing to make a senior appearance at Sheffield United.

Cambridge have also made a double plunge into the transfer market. Shaun Derry has brought goalkeeper David Gregory and attacking midfielder George Maris to the Abbey Stadium.

Gregory arrives on a one-year deal from Crystal Palace, with Maris also agreeing a 12-month contract after leaving Barnsley.

The pattern of double deals continues, with Hartlepool also swooping for two players in quick succession.

Craig Hignett has taken Chesterfield’s Jake Orrell and Dover’s Nicky Deverdics to the Victoria Ground.

Orrell turned down a new contract with the Spireites to make the move, while Deverdics is rated as one of the top talents in the National League.

There’s also two more faces at Brisbane Road – after both Robbie Weir and Josh Doherty joined Leyton Orient.

Doherty signed a one-year agreement with an option after a single appearance for Watford last season.

The left-back is joined by midfielder Weir, who moves to the Londoners on a two-year deal after departing from Burton Albion.

Doncaster’s frenetic activity continues after they completed the expected signing of Gary McSheffrey from Scunthorpe. McSheffrey becomes Darren Ferguson’s six summer recruit.

Joss Labadie has joined Newport County, Matt Godden has moved to Stevenage Borough and Yusuf Merson has agreed terms with Crawley in other deals.
