Portsmouth' boss admission after comeback against Plymouth

Jackett praised his team’s overall performance and felt their high number of corners was reflective of dominance.

But the Pompey boss admitted he didn’t think it was going to be his team’s day until efforts from Ronan Curtis and James Bolton in the 86th and 87th minute.

Jackett said: ‘I felt overall we played well.

‘We had 16 corners so that showed how the game went.

‘Fair play to Plymouth though, they defended well and it looked like it was going to be a frustrating day.

‘So fair play to the players for showing the right attitude to come back and get a point.

‘We showed a lot of character to come back and get a point.

‘It did look like it was going to be one of those days until Ronan came on.

‘But we showed a lot of spirit and good quality to come back.’
