England fans around Portsmouth are celebrating after the Three Lions' dramatic last-gasp 2-1 win against Wales.

Roy Hodgson’s men bagged three much-needed points in their second group B match of Euro 2016 in Lens thanks to Daniel Strurridge’s injury-time winner.

The Coach & Horses pub in London Road, Hilsea was filled with jubliant football supporters to cheer on England.

The pub fell silent after Gareth Bale’s free-kick eluded goalkeeper Joe Hart, giving Wales a 1-0 lead.

But Jamie Vardy levelled things up before fellow substitute Sturridge stole victory for England.

Nigel Purdy, who watched the man at the Coach & Horses, said: ‘It was brilliant, but Vardy should definitely have started.’

Jason Murphy, 28, from North End, said: ‘It was nerve-wracking and tough to watch at times but everyone went bananas when England got the winner.

‘It was thoroughly deserved and puts us in pole position to qualify for the knockout stages.’
