1. Patrik Berger
The midfielder arrived at Fratton Park in 2003 on the back of several injury-hit seasons at Liverpool. However, he proved a hit at Pompey, scoring eight goals in 60 appearances in his two years at the club.

2. Chris Burns
Bricky Burns added bite to Pompey's midfield when pitched in with a host of youngsters after being plucked from non-league football and scored 11 goals in 107 appearances.
3. Lee Bradbury
The striker was given an honourable discharge from the Army in August 1995 following a successful Pompey trial. Over two spells, he bagged 46 goals in 167 outings, helping the Blues claim the Division One title in 2003.

4. Ronan Curtis
Arriving from Derry for a fee of around £100,000, the winger has been a revelation at the Blues, bagging 25 goals in 92 games.
