Held at the Blues’ Hilsea training ground, the game consisted of four 30 minute periods, involving 22 players, and developed into a rout, with seven goals after the hour mark.
Kusini Yengi grabbed three, with other scorers including Anthony Scully, Colby Bishop, Tom Lowery, Christian Saydee and Zak Swanson.
Inevitably with an emphatic result such as that, there were a number of very strong performances – and here are our Pompey player ratings...

5. Connor Ogilvie - 7
(Replaced by Jack Sparkes on 61 mins) Noticeably getting forward a lot more, being a regular presence in the final third during his time on the pitch. Won a 60th-minute penalty after taking a hefty kick as he fired in a shot on goal, with the spot-kick converted by Bishop to make it 2-1 - 7 Photo: Jason Brown

6. Marlon Pack - 7
(Replaced by Ben Stevenson on 61 mins) Back to normal after a slow start to the pre-season friendly schedule and dictated play nicely in the centre of the pitch. Such a strong presence and makes players around him tick. Photo: Jason Brown

7. Joe Morrell - 7
(Replaced by Tom Lowery on 61 mins) Enjoying an impressive pre-season, picking up where he left off at the end of last term. Such a key performer for the Blues and it’s heartening to see him in such encouraging early summer form. Photo: Jason Brown

8. Terry Devlin - 6
(Replaced by Anthony Scully on 61 mins) Missed the last two friendlies to attend a wedding and has yet to really fire during pre-season. Loves to get forward, breaking into the box, but missed several golden opportunities and should have helped himself to at least one goal. Still settling in, though, and needs patience.
