Held at the Blues’ Hilsea training ground, the game consisted of four 30 minute periods, involving 22 players, and developed into a rout, with seven goals after the hour mark.
Kusini Yengi grabbed three, with other scorers including Anthony Scully, Colby Bishop, Tom Lowery, Christian Saydee and Zak Swanson.
Inevitably with an emphatic result such as that, there were a number of very strong performances – and here are our Pompey player ratings...

13. Harry Jewitt-White - 7
(Replaced Zak Swanson on 61 mins) Asked to play right-back in the absence of Joe Rafferty and Josh Dockerill, a role completely foreign. Yet rose to the challenge well, assisting in Anthony Scully’s second goal with a fine cross from the right. Afterwards earned praise from John Mousinho. Photo: Jason Brown

14. Christian Saydee - 7
(Replaced Colby Bishop on 61 mins) Started off as the centre-forward and then dropped into a number 10 role when Yengi was introduced. Such a powerful player and physically a real handful. Great to see him grab his maiden Blues goal when he calmly clipped a first-time shot over the advancing keeper into the net following Lane’s pass. Photo: Portsmouth FC

15. Conor Shaughnessy - 7
(Replaced Ryley Towler on 61 mins) Back from an ankle problem after missing previous two friendlies. His ability on the ball shines through, while can clearly operate in the left-sided defensive role to rival Towler, despite naturally being right-footed. Very assured and confident in what he does. 16. Jack Sparkes - 8
(Replaced Connor Ogilvie on 61 mins) Linked up superbly with Anthony Scully down the left with the pair seemingly striking up an instant understanding. That combination worked with Scully’s first goal to make it 3-1 and continued to be a constant problem for the beleaguered Crawley defence. Photo: Portsmouth FC
