Danny Cowley’s men lost the friendly against the Championship side 2-0, yet there were some encouraging performances. Here are the Pompey player ratings...
5. Connor Ogilvie - 7
As wholehearted as ever, almost laid on a goal for Bishop with a wonderful cross from the left which ended in Simon Moore saving. Picture: Jason Brown/ProSportsImages Photo: Jason Brown
6. Marlon Pack - 7
Back playing at Fratton Park after almost 12 years away and another encouraging showing from the local lad. Had a very impressive pre-season. Picture: Simon Roe/ProSportsImages Photo: Simon Roe
7. Louis Thompson - 7
Marvellous second-half run and shot drew Simon Moore into excellent diving save. Once again a tigerish midfield presence. Picture: Simon Roe/ProSportsImages Photo: Simon Roe
8. Reeco Hackett - 6
Having a decent pre-season but not as effective against Coventry, wasting a few crossing opportunities. Subbed in the 60th minute for Ryan Tunnlicliffe. Picture: Simon Roe/ProSportsImages Photo: Simon Roe
