The popular midfielder was restricted to substitute duty in the previous two matches, with Kenny Jackett wary of burning him out.

However, he is one of three changes to the team which performed so disappointingly against Peterborough on Saturday.

Ellis Harrison is back following the birth of his son, while Ross McCrorie is named at right-back.

Out go the injured Ben Close (ankle), John Marquis and Jack Whatmough, with James Bolton moving over from full-back to the centre of defence.

Whatmough is not included in the 18-man squad, with Paul Downing instead serving as the defender on the bench.

There is also a recall for Gareth Evans among the substitutes, but no place for Brett Pitman.
