Another FA Cup windfall for Portsmouth after King's Lynn clash chosen for broadcast

Pompey are to receive a £37,500 windfall after their FA Cup second round fixture was chosen for digital broadcast.

Kenny Jackett’s men will host non-league King’s Lynn Town behind closed doors on Saturday, November 28 (3pm).

The match will also be shown on BBC iPlayer and BT Sport, earning each side £37,500 as a result.

A similar broadcasting arrangement for Pompey’s first-round encounter with Ipswich netted the Blues £32,000.

A total of 264,565 people watched that 3-2 victory for Jackett’s side, establishing itself as the BBC’s most-watched FA Cup stream.
