Tino Anjorin, Ben Stevenson, Kusini Yengi, Abu Kamara and Ryley Towler were the scorers as the Blues defeated the League Two side in the EFL Trophy group stages.
Of those goals, four arrived in a stunning second-half showing from the League One leaders – and here are our Pompey player ratings...
5. Ryley Towler - 8
Only his fourth start of the season having lost his place to Conor Shaughnessy and was booked in the second half after tugging back his man following a sloppy moment. Able to buy into Pompey’s preference for building out from the back and netted the fifth goal when turning home Shaughnessy’s header from close range. Photo: Jason Brown
6. Jack Sparkes - 9 - Man Of The Match
(Replaced by Mitch Aston on 81 minutes) - Continuing to capitalise on Ogilvie’s absence and weighed in with yet another two assists with a corner (Anjorin) and free-kick (Yengi). Plus his corner was involved in Towler’s goal, albeit not directly. Is proving such a pivotal figure in set-piece taking, but tightened up defensively. Photo: Jason Brown
7. Ben Stevenson - 8
His finest display in a Pompey shirt yet, capped by a lovely strike on 50 minutes to restore the Blues’ lead. The stand-out performer from a disappointing first half and always present to put his foot in or move play along. Role dictates he’ll never catch the eye like other team-mates, but his presence remains crucial. Photo: Jason Brown
8. Tino Anjorin - 8
(Replaced by Joe Morrell on 46 minutes) Wonderful overhead kick to open the scoring and also registered maiden Pompey goal. Was pre-determined he would come off at half-time, so nothing to be read into substitution. Played a little deeper than usual, but produced some lovely touches, particularly with give and goes, and was his best Blues outing yet. Photo: Jason Brown
