John Mousinho has detailed the plan for exits this summer as Pompey’s squad reshaping continues.

And the Blues boss has revealed the possibility of departures will be reviewed after his side’s quickfire pre-season double next week.

Mousinho’s squad are facing a gruelling week of pre-season training in Croatia this week, before their first warm-up against Gosport next Tuesday.

Two fixtures then follow in the space of 16 hours, as a Friday trip to Havant and Waterlooville (8pm) precedes a meeting with Bognor at 2pm on Saturday.

Mousinho feels he needs his current group together for that run of games, but then plans to review that situation over departures.

The futures of the likes of Ben Stevenson, Anthony Scully and Gavin Whyte will all be under the microscope, after peripheral roles last term.

Meanwhile, the prospect of a development loan for Ryley Towler has been aired, though his long-term future remains at Fratton Park.

Mousinho said: ‘We’re happy with the squad as it is at the minute, so we’ll reassess that next week.

‘We have the three non-league games which we’ll need a decent squad for, particularly with the turnaround on Friday and Saturday with the Havant and Waterlooville and Bognor games.

‘So we have to have a squad to cope with that and I think we’ll have a look at where the squad is after that.

‘We don’t want to be over-inflated and we do want players in the squad who are competitive.

‘If there is the need to move out or they feel the need to move out, we’ll look at it at that point.’

‘At the moment though, we don’t have any thought on that.’
