Breaking: Huge Portsmouth boost as inspirational midfielder pledges his future to Fratton Park

Marlon Pack will lead Pompey into the Championship next season after signing a new deal.

The Blues skipper has put pen to paper on a two-year contract, potentially keeping him at Fratton Park for the rest of his playing days.

John Mousinho was desperate to keep the 33-year-old who, along with Connor Ogilvie, were the only two out-of-contract players from the title-winning squad offered fresh deals at the season’s end.

Now he has followed Ogilvie in pledging his future to the Blues - in time to be present for the start of pre-season, which begins on Thursday.

Pack has made 78 appearances and scored eight goals since returning to Pompey in the summer of 2022.

And will remain a pivotal figure for the Blues’ first season back in the Championship after 12 years away.
