Pompey exited the FIFA 20 Ultimate QuaranTeam tournament at the first-round stage last night.

Waterloville lad Daniel Skeggs – known as Flair in the e-Sports world – took the control pad on behalf of the Blues.

However, he fell to a 3-1 loss at the hands of Irish outfit Dundalk.

Brett Pitman notched a late consolation for Pompey as members of the Fratton faithful tuned in to watch the encounter being live streamed on Twitch.

The competition was set up by Leyton Orient to help raise money for clubs struggling financially while the coronavirus pandemic suspends football.

It will also give a portion of funds to Football League charity partner MIND and the Covid-19 fundraiser set up by the World Health Organisation.

More than £50,00 has been raised so far.

The tournament also helps fill the void while football is suspended, with European heavyweights such as Manchester City, AS Roma, Ajax and Benfica all signing up.
