The midfielder admitted he questioned if he would ever get back to playing through a nightmare year of hip issues.
Morris saw a string of specialists and went through a number of rehab periods before breaking down again.

Hide AdHarley Street physio James Moore was the man who finally got to the bottom of the issues, after the 24-year-old had needed pain relief and injections to get through games and training from March last year.
That preceded Morris travelling to Ireland and then undergoing a double hernia operation in Germany without resolving the injury.
The former Wycombe man was the subject of online abuse from fans as he played through the pain before admitting defeat over the injury.
After his shock return in the play-offs against Oxford United following impressive form as Pompey returned after the season’s suspension, Morris is now finally looking forward again - and out to take the chance to silence the knockers.

‘I hope I can now get the chance to show people what I can do - it’s been a long time coming!
‘Even the thought of the fans coming back and giving it a completely different feeling. I’m buzzing about it.
‘There’s probably been a lot of people who wrote me off, so I’m just looking to prove a point to them.

‘People don’t see what you go through but I’m back now and I honestly can’t wait for next season.
‘It was terrible and it felt like there was no light at the end of the tunnel, but I’m back from it now.
‘I’ve kept myself in the best shape possible, so now just want to let my football do the talking. I’m looking forward now.’

Hide AdMorris admitted going through the constant rehab work without making any real progress took him to some dark places in his absence.
Those were sentiments echoed by Kenny Jackett, with patience wearing thin over what was the root cause of the issue on all sides.
Morris explained he could understand that as he despaired and wondered if he’d ever return, but he’s hopeful and confident he’s come out of a testing period of his career stronger than ever.
He added: ‘I think we both got frustrated at times. It’s just pure frustration.

Hide Ad‘I expect the gaffer got fed up of being asked about me when I was constantly injured and there was no sign of a comeback.
‘When you’ve been to see so many specialists and had different rehabs I’m not surprised if he questioned it. I was questioning if I would ever get back myself.
‘I kind of knew all I needed was the right treatment. Not that the others were wrong, but it was finding what worked with me.
‘You’ve got to give yourself the best chance and I feel I’ve done that.’
