'Cannon lucky to be back... hope Close proves us wrong' - Portsmouth fans react to starting XI against Doncaster Rovers

Manager Kenny Jackett has made two changes to the side that beat MK Dons last time out.

Ben Close comes in for his first league start, replacing Bryn Morris in the centre of midfield.

Meanwhile, Andy Cannon replaces Michael Jacobs, who, like Morris, drops to the bench.

Here’s what fans on social media have been saying…

@wellsa1970: Hope Close proves me wrong and has a good game. For me he has never really done enough.

@Niall_Judge26: Cannon needs to get back to levels he was at in Feb/March, big chance for him today. Lucky to be getting in ahead of Jacobs.

@EddieMillar: Jacobs and Morris have both been underwhelming so far.

Cannon and Close have a chance to prove themselves today.

@Scott_Wylie: Praying that’s close in the 10 and not cannon. Always thought he’d be better suited in the 10.

@al3xmacdonald_: Perfect team but Rasmus for Raggett.

@Sophiasogood: I like the look of that team. Fingers crossed, all the players can deliver. PUP !

@tom9405: Then everyone will start slagging close off soon like last season.

@muller148: How soon before there's calls for Close to be dropped?

@tomnm2001: Benjamin Close about time.
