Jackett has made the huge call to drop captain Tom Naylor to the bench and hand Bryn Morris his first start in 14 months after his return from injury hell.

There’s another massive surprise as Jackett favours Lee Brown over Steve Seddon at left-back, despite the on-loan Birmingham man being arguably his side’s standout playing since arriving in January.

Elsewhere, it’s Ross McCrorie over James Botlon at right-back and Ellis Harrison leads the line over top scorer John Marquis.

Marcus Harness is favoured over Ryan Williams, Cameron McGeehan over Ben Close – who doesn’t make the squad - and there’s no place for Brett Pitman on the bench.

Quite frankly it’s a selection from Jackett which is likely to cause a huge stir.

Pompey: Bass, McCrorie, Raggett, Burgess, Brown, McGeehan, Morris, Harness, Cannon, Curtis, Harrison

Subs: MacGillivray, Downing, Bolton, Seddon, Naylor, Evans, Williams, Marquis, Hawkins.
