The striker last night wrote in a post on Twitter – that’s now been deleted – that Southampton supporters ‘don’t sing to get behind the team’.
After bemoaning the negative impact of social media, some followers of the St Mary's outfit took exception, with one replying: ‘Didn't think when you insulted our whole fanbase and club did it tho chazza.’

Yet the West Brom forward didn’t hold back with his retort and lambasted Southampton fans.
He claimed they don’t back their team when they need a lift in games.
Austin tweeted: ‘You’re s*** fans, you don’t sing to get behind the team only when they score never when they need a boost.’
